PRESENTATION
Mercazaragoza is the Ebro Valley’s most important specialized agri-food logistics platform. A distribution, sales, transformation and logistics platform working 24 hours a day and aimed at guaranteeing food supplies in its sphere of influence.
Mercazaragoza is an international reference due to its strategic location, its infrastructure and services and the vital work carried out by the over 150 businesses operating within the Foodstuff Unit that specialize in fresh and frozen foods.
These companies sell around 200,000 tonnes of food per year, making it one of the most important fresh-food markets in the country.
Within the Foodstuff Unit, we have Fish, Fruit & Vegetable and Meat Markets, together with an abattoir and the first Inland Intermodal Terminal (TMZ) that is able to load and transport temperature-controlled goods by rail.

The Fruit & Vegetable Market has a surface area of 12,213 m2 with 80 salespoints operated by 34 wholesalers and 42 market gardeners. Its annual sales volume is around 120,000 Tonnes. It is Mercazaragoza’s busiest market in terms of sales volume.
FISH
MARKET
The Fish Market has 16 salespoints where 11 wholesalers work and with a handling area and temperature-controlled spaces for the sale of frozen produce. Its total size is 3,592 m2 and the annual sales volume in fish and seafood is close to 35,000 Tonnes.
MEAT
MARKET
The Meat Market comprises of the Abattoir and various companies specializing in the sale of meat products.
There are bovine, ovine and porcine slaughtering areas and services. The total size of the market is 12,335 m2 and includes cold stores, meat processing area and sales hall.
Annual sales are about 45,000 Tonnes and it has a Halal certificate.
